For small business owners, financial guidance is rarely just about numbers. It’s about trust.

The person managing a company’s finances often becomes an essential partner behind the business, relied upon not only for technical expertise but for thoughtful guidance as decisions are made and the company grows.

Meagan Sullivan, founder of Menagerie Accounting, has spent her career working across a range of accounting environments, developing a strong professional foundation along the way. Over time, she found that what she valued most was working alongside small business owners, helping them bring order to their finances and navigate growth with greater clarity.

As she prepared to launch Menagerie Accounting, Meagan partnered with Kit Friday Consulting to develop the firm’s brand identity, website, and copywriting. The goal was to create a presence that reflects both the professionalism of her background and the calm, trustworthy way she supports the clients she serves.

The Practice Behind the Work

Before any design work began, the first step was understanding the perspective behind Menagerie Accounting.

Meagan’s experience gave her a clear view into how different businesses operate, but more importantly, how they rely on financial support in practice. In working closely with small business owners, she saw that their needs went beyond bookkeeping. They were looking for consistency, clarity, and someone who could help them navigate decisions as their businesses grew.

That perspective shaped the firm's direction, leading her to focus on supporting small businesses at every stage, from newly launched ventures to more established companies seeking steady financial guidance.

The brand needed to communicate more than technical expertise. It needed to reflect both the depth of Meagan’s experience and the calm, supportive way she works with her clients, so that prospective clients could recognize that approach immediately.

A Visual Identity That Inspires Confidence

In financial services, first impressions carry weight. The way a firm presents itself visually can shape a client’s first impression of professionalism, credibility, and care.

For this reason, the visual identity for Menagerie Accounting needed to communicate both experience and approachability. Something that met the professional standards of the accounting field, but not cold or overly corporate.

Rather than relying on the standard visual cues, we focused on creating a design language that felt composed, modern, and quietly distinctive. The goal was to strike a balance between professionalism and warmth, allowing the brand to feel credible without losing its human qualities.

The logo itself reflects that balance. A graphic referencing financial tools and reporting elements offers a subtle nod to the practical work behind the business while maintaining a clean and contemporary feel.

Color also played an important role. Instead of drawing from the standard corporate palette, we chose a strong blue jewel tone and supporting colors that still convey professionalism while offering a more distinctive presence.

The result is a visual identity that feels polished and trustworthy without becoming sterile or overly corporate.

A Website That Holds True to the Values Behind It

The website for Menagerie Accounting was designed to reflect the way Meagan works with her clients.

Small business owners visiting the site are introduced to a firm focused on bringing order and stability to their finances. The structure of the website presents her services in a straightforward way, helping visitors quickly understand the support she provides and the role she plays in maintaining organized financial systems behind the scenes.

The copywriting was developed through a questionnaire and a deep-dive conversation that explored Meagan’s experience, values, and the traits of the businesses she most enjoys supporting. This process informed language that reflects both her professional expertise and the way she supports her clients in practice.

Throughout the site, the messaging emphasizes steady support, organized financial systems, and the confidence that comes from working with an experienced accountant who understands the realities of running a small business.

That tone helps prospective clients feel comfortable reaching out. In fact, Meagan has already heard from new inquiries who mentioned that the site made them feel understood before they had even spoken with her, reinforcing a sense of trust that the site was designed to establish from the outset.

A Presence That Matches the Work

With the visual identity, website, and copywriting in place, Menagerie Accounting now presents a presence that reflects the way Meagan works with her clients.

The brand conveys professionalism and experience while maintaining the warmth and approachability that define her work. The result is a presence that feels steady, thoughtful, and quietly confident.

More importantly, the work developed together is something Meagan feels genuinely represented by and confident sharing as she builds her practice.

As she put it, “Kit Friday Consulting took the time to understand me, my work, and what I wanted to communicate. They designed a logo and visual style that feel like an honest reflection of who I am, and built a website that brings all of it to life. I constantly hear how beautiful and professional everything looks.”

Work That Reflects the People Behind It

Much of the work we do focuses on helping founders and professionals express the experience and care that already exists behind what they do.

Through brand identity, website design, and copywriting, we build systems that reflect that work clearly and thoughtfully.
